Carborundum Print by Matta “L’Oeuf de Verbe”

This other worldly print is by Roberto Sebastian Matta Echaurren (Known as Matta) (1911 - 2002). Matta is known as Chile’s most famous painter and an internationally known Surrealist. This print, titled "L’Oeuf de Verbe", is Carborundum in colors, hand colored in pastel and gouache. The paper is 38" x 38" and is signed on the lower right with Matta’s cipher. It is numbered "22/125" on the lower left. Published by Nordstamp Fine Art in 1995, the piece is archively floated on black matting in a silver frame

George Sakier for Fostoria After Dinner Service for Four
